I'm a Canadian lawyer, father of 3. I have more than 20 years of experience for governmental, international and non-governmental organizations. The specific competencies I developed and strengthened over the years include: developing strategic planning documents that implement an end-result vision for the strengthening of the rule of law and the implementation of international treaties’ obligations; providing sound legal advice on issues pertaining to national legislation, public international law, human rights, humanitarian law, and rule of law standards; designing and delivering technical cooperation programmes that support national authorities and civil society organizations in achieving their goals in regards to rule of law and the implementation of international treaties’ obligations; designing and delivering capacity-building programmes that implement clear learning objectives, relying on case studies and self-learning; designing and implementing monitoring, analysis and reporting mechanisms that deliver timely information and relevant analysis; contributing to investigations into allegations of serious violations of international law; communicating clearly by summarizing complex information for decision makers and contrib­uting to institutional positioning.
